பதிவிறக்கம் செய்தபின்னர் Duble Click செய்து மென்பொருனள உள்ளீடு செய்யுங்கள்.

Note: The file is zipped so you need Winzip to extract it to a folder.

  1. Open the tamilKey.zip file:

  2. Click on Actions -> Select All

  3. Click on Extract and navigate to C:\ drive and extract the contents to the destination directory:Target Directory


  4. The extracted folder should contain setup.exe and several other files as shown as on following picture:Extracted List


  5. Double Click on setup.exe to install. Once it successfully installed you will get a following message:Successful Message for Installation Complete


  6. Next you need to configure Keyboard Input to Tamil. Depending on your operating system, you need to follow different procedure so click on the specific operating system configuration instructions to continue.

To complete the installation you may need Windows 2000 installation CD and must be logged in as a user with Administrative privileges.

Unicode Tamil language support for Windows 2000
  1. Installing Unicode Tamil Language support for Windows 2000
  1. Click on the Start button then Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional Options
  2. The "Regional Options" dialog box will appear. Select the "General" tab.
  3. In the "Language setting for the system" section select "Indic".

  4. Click the "Apply" or "OK" button.
  5. At this point you may be asked to insert the installation CD.
  6. Restart the computer (You may restart the computer after first adding the Tamil into the list of active languages.)

After you have installed Unicode Tamil Support, you need to add Tamil Unicode keyboard input.

  1. Control Panel -> Regional Options -> Input Locales -> Add:

  2. Choose Tamil as a Input Locale from Drop Down Menu.

  3. Choose Tamil Unicode Input with Bamini Keyboard Layout as Keyboard Layout/IME

  4. Click Apply or OK



  5. Now you will see Language Bar on Task bar by default English would be set but if you click on the bar you will see the options menu.


  6. Click on Language bar and you will see options as shown on the picture. Click on Tamil and then you will be able to type anywhere in Tamil.

Unicode Tamil language support for Windows XP

To complete the installation you may need Windows XP installation CD and must be logged in as a user with Administrative privileges.

Installing Unicode Tamil Language support for Windows XP

  1. Click on the Start button then Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options
  2. The "Regional and Language Options" dialog box will appear. Select the "Languages" tab.
  3. In the "Supplemental language support" section check the "Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai)" check-box.

  4. Click the "Apply" or "OK" button.
  5. At this point you may be asked to insert the installation CD. Insert the CD, wait for it to finish copying files and follow the prompt.
  6. Restart the computer ( You may restart the computer after first adding the Tamil into the list of active languages.)

After you have installed Unicode Tamil Support, you need to add Tamil Unicode keyboard input.

  1. Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Languages -> Details

  2. Click on Add:

  3. Choose Tamil as a Input Locale and Keyboard Layout/IME as Tamil Unicode with Baamini Keyboard:Add Input Language


  4. Click Apply or OK

  5. Click on Language bar and you will see options as shown on the picture. Click on Tamil and then you will be able to type anywhere in Tamil.

  1. Control Panel -> Regional and Language -> Keyboards and Languages -> Change Keyboard:Region and Language

  2. Click on Add:
    Text Services and Input Language

  3. Scroll down to Tamil (India) and check mark as shown on below picture:
    Note: Do not check mark Tamil instead click on the check box without name. Add Input Langugae
    Click OK


  4. Click on the Language Bar and make sure it have following setting:Language Bar


  5. Click on Advance Key Settings and make sure it have the following setting:Advanced Key Setting
    Click on OK



  6. Click on Language bar and you will see options as below shown picture. Click on Tamil and then you will be able to type anywhere in Tamil.

>> Uninstall Instruction for TamilKey.zip

 

  1. Go to Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Programs and Features and then navigate and select Baamini Tamil Keyboard. Click on Uninstall:Add Remove Panel


  2. Click on Yes:
